I am looking for a creative person to share my audiovisual studio at Cable Street Studios (E1W 3HB), 5 minutes from Limehouse station.
I work outside on fixed hours and the studio will be free for you to develop your projects from 8:00-16:00 Monday to Friday.
The right candidate will be a responsible and respectful human being. Ideally, someone who is willing to work on audio post-production, sound design, editing moving images, or game projects. If you are a solo or duo musician, I believe this could be also suitable. The room is acoustically treated and it contains a 7.1 Genelec speaker system that translates very well. As you can see in the picture, there is a separate room with a kitchen and a foley recording space. There is also a private toilet on the premises.
For the right candidate, I will allow using all my equipment, including the computer. You can also bring your equipment. The studio is safe and contains CCTV in/out. The foley room has LCD for referencing video material, and microphones and headphones are also wired to the control room.

I spent a few serious years composing music for films and cartoons but stopped enjoying music when it became a pressured job. I changed professions but still continued to play in bands and write with mates and compose music for radio plays etc. which has now led me back round to doing a lot more music again and so I now really need a studio in which to feel free to write and record, hopefully get better at playing drums and be able to be a lot more musically spontaneous. My current band already has a dedicated in-house rehearsal space in South London so I would not expect to ever use the studio for band rehearsals. This studio would just be used my me and the occasional collaborator. My partner is a voiceover artist so we would also record there.
What are you offering/looking for (specific days/times in the studio, equpiment etc..): I'm looking for a studio ideally fairly close to Central London (but it can be a little further out) that could be used for a minimum of 2 week days a week ideally daytimes between Monday - Thursday (Tuesday and Wednesday?) but I am flexible and I would be able to be move around a little if needed. I would be willing to rent long-term if agreed. I could be self-sufficient equipment-wise. The studio must be warm and comfortable, hopefully with natural daylight and it must be soundproofed. A vocal booth/separate area would also be a huge bonus. The studio has a relaxed feel with some great equipment, perfect for someone that is computer based but needs the option to record live instruments. We have a lovely upright piano, nice outboard gear and a large collection of microphones. Based within a great community of musicians, a short walk from Hornsey overground station.
Ideally someone would take one week day and one weekend day, but happy to chat about this. Fee £385 per month.

I have worked with The 1975, Jordan Mackampa, Veronica Fusaro, The Rifles, Nolwenn Leroy and others. The studio is soundproofed and acoustically treated and has a largish vocal/guitar booth and large storage cupboard – see attached pictures. There is space for additional keyboards, guitars and amps, and there is plenty of space for rack equipment in and around the desk.
Nick uses the studio on Wed/Thu/Sat for production and mixing work with independent artists and for his own alt/rock/electronic project.
Alfie is a musician currently working on his own projects (alternative/lo-fi/post-punk) – using the studio a few evenings a week and on Sundays.
What are you offering/looking for (specific days/times in the studio, equpiment etc..): We’re looking for someone to share the studio from mid-November onwards but can be a bit flexible through to the beginning of January.
